What is a BBA in Business?

Our BBA degree is awarded to students in one of three majors or concentrations – Management, Accounting and Project Management. Each BBA major offers specialized training for entering the workforce with advanced business knowledge and skill development in that area. The BBA graduate is also prepared to matriculate into an MBA program at any ACBSP accredited college.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program concentrations:

ACCOUNTING BBA

An accounting degree opens up employment opportunities in the private and public sectors, working independently or within a company or organization. In our BBA/Accounting program, you will develop a practical understanding of accounting, information technology, communication, problem solving and leadership skills.

MANAGEMENT BBA

A management degree is a gateway to career opportunities, including employment with nonprofits, government agencies, and both large and regional firms. In our BBA/Management program, you will learn key management concepts that will help you address a variety of problems managers face in today’s workplace.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT BBA

Northern offers the only Project Management bachelor's in New Mexico. A project management degree will give you the expertise to work effectively on a team and be an asset in any industry. In our BBA/Project Management program, you will gain in-depth understanding of the best practices for planning and executing project work. Northern also offers Project Management Certificate:

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT Certificate
    Learn how to meet the needs of project responsibilities and to take the PMP© Project Management Professional Exam to become a certified project manager. Project management is applicable across many industries, and specifically teaches knowledge, skills, and tools to meet project goals. The Certificate in Project Management consists of five upper-level project management classes.

 

ACBSP accreditation Accreditation

The Department of Business Administration's bachelor's programs have been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP, www.acbsp.org) on July 15, 2015. Northern's Associate level Business programs have been accredited by ACBSP since 1995.
